Meet Benny, the northern brown bandicoot! Isoodon macrourus, Australia’s largest bandicoot species is a nighttime forager with a long pointy snout, small, rounded ears and a short bicoloured tail. The brindled brown of their fur is perfect for blending in! Northern brown bandicoots live in woodlands and shrubby lands with areas of low ground cover, as well as tall grasslands and disturbed areas such as suburban gardens. During the wet season this omnivore roams the open grasslands, where insects
